The Archives Centre welcomes the opportunity to share its collections with a wider audience through loans to temporary exhibitions.
In order to prepare a loan, we ask for a formal loan request at least six months in advance of an exhibition’s opening date. The formal loan request should contain the following information:
- Exhibition title and dates
- Venue details, including key contact names, telephone numbers and email addresses
- Exhibition scenario, explaining the context of the items within the exhibition
- List of items requested with reference codes
and should be addressed in writing to:
Churchill Archives Centre
Requests will be assessed by the Director, in conjunction with conservation and curatorial staff, and a decision will be communicated as soon as possible.
We are happy to help with research and identification of potential loan items and informal enquiries may be addressed to Sophie Bridges.
All borrowers are asked to meet our Loan conditions.
